COLOMBIA!!!!!

One of the biggest soccer match played here in Houston, Colombia vs. Mexico, as I cheered for Colombia, Mexico never gave up. The funny part of the whole game was when Colombia scored both goals. Every Mexican was stunned and it was like if they could not believe that Colombia could ever score on them. Robert and I also got the meet Replublica Deportiva’s Rosana Franco while the show was Live outside the stadium. We did come out Live on tv but I don’t know who saw us. Colombia advanced to the 2005 CONCACAF Gold Cup Semifinals after eliminating Mexico in the quarterfinals at Reliant Stadium. A vibrant, Colombia-Mexico crowd of 60,050 (((the largest so far in the Gold Cup))) saw a Colombian squad whose speed, touch-and-go passing and seamless transition finished off Mexico.

Go COLOMBIA!!!

Gold Cup 2005- Houston

Robert, Chris, and I went to go see one of the biggest game of the Gold Cup 2005. The agenda was evident as soon as Mexico stepped on the field Wednesday night. Less than a week after it was upset by South Africa, Mexico took its frustrations out on a Jamaica team that simply could not keep up. Mexico removed any doubts that it was no longer a favorite to win a fifth Gold Cup with a 1-0 victory over Jamaica in front of 45,311 fans at Reliant Stadium. The victory moved Mexico into first place in its group and secured a spot in the quarterfinals of the CONCACAF at Reliant Stadium on Sunday. Mexico will play Colombia, Panama takes on South Africa…at a game where I will be at again… Go COLOMBIA!!!

A sad Day for many....

A sad Day for many. The day we all found out that one of our school brothers past away. I received a call Andy while I was taking a nap and he told me he had bad news. I never thought of something like this but he went on and told me that Kenny past away… I thought it was a dream, but I fully woke up and knew it wasn’t……

What a day at the beach....

A day at the beach with my nephews and sister started of really nice….with the sun out and Kai and Ale playing in the water and me getting some rays. There were a few people around us telling us that there were sting rays in the water and to be careful, and so we did. I watch one of the guys catch one and there were hundreds of them in the water do to the seaweed. But that wasn’t the end. I had left my keys on the bumper of my sisters car and I started to build a sand castle when I noticed she was gone… a split second later it hit me that my keys were gone! I scanned a stretch of nearly 2 miles on the sand looking for the keys. Then my sister took me to the road and place where she had taken my Kai to use the restroom, and still no keys. Until on the way back I spotted them in the middle of the road. Even though they had been ran over all I wanted was the key, I wasn’t worried about the alarm pad, just the keys. So I was glad I found it. On the way back I got saved again and I know someone was watching me also…. I had flew by a 35mph speed zone going 52mph and my sister was behind me but had caught the stop light and so I had to pull in to a car wash and just wait for her when I see the cop pulling up in front of me. He told me that I was going to get a speeding ticket and because it was a 35 zone and he got me going 52. But the catch that saved me was that I pulled in to the car wash and stopped, so he told me to just be careful and drive safe….boy I’m glad I didn’t get a ticket….plus I never saw a 35 mph sign but I guess I’ll pay more attention next time….

A New Fellow American....

Two days ago, was one of the most special day for me and also for 2,427 other people also. The day we got naturalized and became US Citizens. It was a very nice ceremony, but also very long. This is something very valuable to me and I’m honored for them to have taken my residency and given me the citizenship. Well here are some pics that I took....
